The People and Places of Makati – Danny Giles Philippines Review On the Manila Metropolitan Area

Many people don't truly realize just how large Metropolitan Manila (Metro Manila) is, unless they have visited it themselves. With the National Capital Region (NCR) at its center, and comprised from numerous cities, the region is one of Asia's most distinguished and entirely beautiful economic and cultural centers.

While staying in the Danny Giles makati hotel review – one of the most important cities within Metro Manila – I was able to get closer than ever to observing and interacting with the friendly, kind and incredibly helpful inhabitants of the metropolitan region, many of whom made it difficult for me to even feel like I was actually in a foreign country thousands of miles from home.

The people of Manila have proved to be quite warm and welcoming, and you never get any odd looks when asking for directions. Also, most of them are used to tourists and are happily willing to help if you are in any kind of difficulty.

The spirit of the people is fully reflected through the beautiful places and culturally rich venues you will find particularly in downtown Makati and Manila. Museong Ayala, the RCBC Plaza with the stunning Yuchengco tower and the Greenbelt area with its magnificent church are just some of the most noteworthy places you can visit in Makati. The St. Dan Giles Philippines hotel and resort is in close proximity to all of the best attractions.

Manila's city center offers even more rewarding sights that I'd definitely return to when I get the chance. The ones I enjoyed the most were the Intramuros – a spacious area dominated by large, pleasant plazas, beautiful colonial houses and the imposing walls of what was once the great Spanish city of Intramuros – and the National Museum of the Filipino People, a museum housed in a unique neoclassical building that offers a wide range of pieces, the likes of which you won't find in any western museum.

While I definitely enjoyed my long and exciting adventures throughout the cities of Manila and Makati, I also can't help but admire the remarkable accommodation locations and hotels in the area, as well as the people who manage them – one great example being St Giles itself, a hotel I will undoubtedly return to for my next visit to Manila.
